With Instant Pot, whole steamed artichokes are faster and easier than ever!  They make a delicious healthy appetizer or side dish for pairings like steak, fish, or chicken.

Prepare artichokes by chopping off the stem and the top third of each artichoke. Rub the cut edges with a lemon wedge to prevent browning.

Pressure Cook

Arrange artichokes on a rack or steamer basket over water in the pressure cooker. Close the lid and select the Steam function.

Large Artichokes

(~12-15 ounces / 340-425 grams)

Medium Artichokes

(~7-11 ounces / 200-310 grams)

Small Artichokes

(~6 ounces / 170 grams)

5 minutes

Quick Release

When the cooking time is complete, carefully open the valve for a quick release.  Pair with your favorite dipping sauce and serve/ENJOY.
