Instant Pot makes it so easy to enjoy healthy whole grain steel-cut oats for breakfast.  With this recipe, they taste like a warm, cozy bowl of banana bread!

Use Instant Pot's SAUTE function to cook your dry oats until you can smell their toasty aroma. This quick step adds so much flavor!

Toast Oats

Add Banana

Leave them whole - don't bother to mash or even slice. Then add cinnamon, salt and water.

Pressure Cook

use Instant Pot’s Manual mode to select 5 minutes cook time on the high pressure setting. After the cook time is up, allow 10 minutes for natural pressure release.

Whisk

Briskly stir up the porridge to make a creamy texture with even banana flavor throughout. Cooked oats can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Add Toppings

Top with fresh sliced banana, your favorite nuts, a splash of milk. If desired, drizzle maple syrup or your sweetener of choice.
